AUSTIN, Texas – Senior outfielder
Devlin Granberg from Dallas Baptist University headlines the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I Baseball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Granberg was named the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® of the Year for Division I Baseball. The native of Hudson, Colorado, is a kinesiology major who carries a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average.
A standout outfielder, Granberg was named a first team All-American by
Collegiate Baseball and was the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Player of the Year.
Granberg ranks among the nation’s leaders in both batting average (.443) and hits (112) and on-base percentage (.541) at the NCAA Division I level.
A two-time All-American selection since transferring to Dallas Baptist, Granberg led the MVC in 11 offensive categories, including batting average, hits, hits per game, on-base percentage, RBI, RBI per game, runs, slugging percentage, total bases, walks and walks per game. Granberg also hit 13 home runs and stole 26 bases.
Joining Granberg on the Academic All-America® Division I Baseball Team are seven student-athletes who are repeat performers from last year’s CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team –

Justin Jones (Georgia State University),
Dylan Moore (Louisiana)
, Andrew Moritz (UNCG),
Joe Provenzano (McNeese State University),
Trevor Putzig (Tennessee Tech University) and
Nick Sandlin (University of Southern Mississippi). Born, Jones and Moore earn Academic All-America® honors for the third-straight season.
The Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division I Baseball Team produced an average GPA of 3.90 with the first team combining for an average GPA of 3.97. The team includes 11 student-athletes with 4.0 GPA and two graduate students.
