Steve Eisenhauer was inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame in 1992.
Steve Eisenhauer, a 1954 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, was a standout member of the Midshipmen football program during his time at the Academy.
Eisenhauer excelled at the guard position for the Midshipmen. He was a two-time first team All-American in 1952 and 1953, and also was an Academic All-America first team selection in 1953. In 1992, Eisenhauer was selected to the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame and the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1994.
Eisenhauer graduated from the Academy with a 3.28 grade-point average in engineering. After receiving his commission in the U.S. Marine Corps, Eisenhauer became a Naval Aviator and participated in Lebanon Operations in 1958, earning an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
He retired from the Marine Corps in 1975 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Since then, Eisenhauer has served as Technical Consultant to the Department of the Navy, advising on the P-3 and T-45 Aircraft Programs, Cruise Missile Program and Trident Submarine Program. Most recently, he served as a consultant on jet training and flight simulators with Dual & Associates in Virginia.
