Luck is one of the best quarterbacks to ever put on a Stanford University uniform. His collegiate football career lasted from 2008-2011, and he finished as Stanford’s all-time record holder in passing touchdowns (82), completion percentage (.670) and second in passing yards (9,430). Luck led his team to a record-high 12 wins in 2010 and appearances in the 2011 Orange Bowl and 2012 Fiesta Bowl.
The star quarterback received major recognition as a two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up, Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year and first team all-conference selection in both 2010 and 2011. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
Luck graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus in architectural design. He was the CSC Academic All-American of the Year and a three-time All-Pac-12 Academic first-team honoree.
He was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. During his seven seasons in the Circle City, Luck was a four-time Pro Bowl selection (2012-14, 2018) and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2018. He still holds the record for most passing yards by a rookie with 4,374 in 2012. In total, he threw for 23,671 passing yards and 171 touchdowns in his pro career before retiring prior to the 2019 season.
In August 2022, Luck returned to Stanford to pursue a master’s degree in education. In 2023, he began serving as a part-time volunteer football coach at Palo Alto High School. Alongside his wife Nicole, Luck is involved with several charitable organizations including the Riley Children’s Hospital and the Andrew Luck Book Club.
Luck joins his father Oliver Luck as the only parent-child combo to be inducted into the CSC Academic All-America Hall of Fame. Oliver, the former West Virginia quarterback and sports executive, was inducted in 2000.
