Dr. Kenneth Caldwell was inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame in 2008.

Dr. Kenneth Caldwell was a three-time first team Academic All-American on The Citadel football team. While playing, Caldwell was The Citadel’s Most Valuable Player and Coaches’ Award recipient. He graduated in 1979 with a degree in Chemistry. 

Caldwell received an MD from University of South Carolina and has worked as an Orthopedic Specialist. He served as a major in the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps. Caldwell spent seven months, from November 1990 through May 1991, in Saudi Arabia at the 312th Evac Hospital as part of Operation Desert Storm.

Caldwell continued his affiliation with the The Citadel, serving as team physician for 18 years. He was a board member for nine years on the South Carolina State Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Caldwell also was a founding board member of the Palmetto Christian Academy in Mount Pleasant, S.C.

Caldwell's is a member of several medical associations, has authored numerous articles in his field and has delivered over a dozen lectures and speeches.
