AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Nina Haeberlin of Keiser University headlines the 2019 Academic All-America® NAIA women's soccer teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 
 
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 NAIA Academic All-America® teams.
 
Haeberlin was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NAIA women’s soccer.
 
A goalkeeper for the Seahawks, Haeberlin has guided the team to yet another outstanding year as she earned All-Sun Conference first team accolades for the second consecutive season. The Seahawks, who are seeded No. 2 in the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship, improved to 20-1-0 after defeating The Master’s College 8-1 in the opening round.
 
The senior from Krefeld, Germany, who has a perfect 4.0 grade-point average as a business major, ranks No. 4 in the NAIA in goals-against average (0.44) as she has allowed just nine goals, while picking up 46 saves with 12 shutouts. The Seahawks boast one of the best defensive units in front of Haeberlin that are ranked sixth national in shutouts with 13.
 
There were two repeat CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection on the women’s side. Columbia (Mo.) College’s Kelsey Mirts earned Academic All-America® first team honors for the second consecutive year, while her teammate Abigail Meyer went from the first Team in 2018 to the second team this season. 
 
Five different first team selections boast a 4.0 GPA and as a group, they averaged a 3.92 GPA.
