AUSTIN, Texas – Junior forward Bart Hiscock of Hastings College headlines the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® NAIA Men’s Basketball Teams as named by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Hiscock collected the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NAIA men’s basketball.
Hiscock, from Bennington, Nebraska, sports a 4.00 GPA studying biochemistry and molecular biology. Hiscock was named an All-Great Plains Athletic Conference first team selection and a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2018-19. He is a two-time all-conference performer as well as a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection.
For his career, Hiscock accumulated 1,302 points and 642 rebounds. He averaged 18.0 points and 8.4 rebounds this season and led the GPAC in rebounding this season.
Joel Johnson of Corban University was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® first team for the second straight year.
Four men’s CoSIDA Academic All-America® honorees boast 4.0 GPAs. The team averaged a 3.91 GPA.
