AUSTIN, Texas – Senior outfielder Christa Reisinger of Truman State University headlines the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Softball Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Division II Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America® teams.

Reisinger has been selected as the recipient of the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award for Division II softball. Reisinger, who has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® team for the third year, moved up from the second team in 2018 to earn first team Google Cloud Academic All-America® honors in 2019.  She was a third team honoree in 2017. An agricultural science major with a 3.67 GPA, she departs Truman State as one of the program’s only three-time NFCA All-Americans after helping the Bulldogs to a 32-19 finish.

A native of Winfield, Missouri, Reisinger was named to both the NFCA and Division II Conference Commissioners Association First-Team All-America teams to go with her first-ever selection as the D2CCA Ron Lenz Player of the Year, given to the country's best position player. She was a two-time NFCA and D2CCA first team selection along with earning second team accolades once in each.

In addition, Reisinger became the first player in Great Lakes Valley Conference history to be named the GLVC Player of the Year three times, was a top-10 finalist for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II National Player of the Year for the second time, NFCA First-Team All-Region selection for a fourth time, and D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year for a second time.

Reisinger hit .544 to rank third in Division II in hitting, along with ranking first in on-base percentage (.619), first in runs per game (1.47), first in total runs (75), tied for first in stolen bases (60), second in steals per game (1.18), fourth in slugging percentage (.918), fifth in total bases (145), and eighth in total hits (86). She finished with 10 doubles, 5 triples, 13 home runs and 36 RBI while setting season records for batting average, slugging percentage, and stolen bases, while tying her own record for runs scored.

Reisinger broke the school's career records for stolen bases (179), runs scored (246), batting average (.480), total hits (331), total bases (518), and triples (18) while finishing second in home runs (38), second in at-bats (690), fifth in RBI (133), and seventh in doubles (37).

Eighteen of the 33 members of the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Softball teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with 11 student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.90.

In addition to Reisinger, the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Softball teams have two other repeat performers – Mariah Ewy (East Central University) and McKenzie Surface (Colorado Mesa University) - from last year’s Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams.
