Henry Litwin
AUSTIN, Texas – Slippery Rock University senior wide receiver
Henry Litwin headlines the 2021 Academic All-America® Division II football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). A native of Linesville, Pa., Litwin is the recipient of the Academic All-America® of the Year award for NCAA Division II football.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
An MBA student with a perfect 4.00 graduate grade-point average, Litwin is one of six three-time Academic All-America® choices on the 2021 first team. He graduated from Slippery Rock with a 3.66 undergraduate GPA and a safety management major. Litwin was the only Division II player selected as a finalist for the prestigious Campbell Trophy. He is also a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy.
Litwin recorded 67 catches for 1,042 yards and 13 touchdowns this fall, despite playing with an injured collarbone the entire season. The AFCA and D2CCA All-American averaged 74 catches for 1,131 yards and 14 touchdowns per season his sophomore through senior years. Litwin holds SRU single-season and career records in catches (221), yards (3,392) and touchdowns (42).
The 26 Academic All-America® Division II football first team members hold a composite 3.81 undergraduate GPA. Four first team honorees hold a perfect 4.00 undergraduate GPA. Twenty-three Academic All-America® Division II football selections are repeat picks from the spring 2021 honor squads with 16 of the veterans making the fall 2021 first team.
Defensive lineman
Ricky Robinson of Shepherd joins Litwin as a three-year first team Academic All-America® choice. Four student-athletes made the second team in 2019 before advancing to first team status the last two campaigns. They include offensive lineman
Andrew Strickland (Wingate University), placekicker
Tanner Harding (Notre Dame College), defensive lineman
JT Turner (Concord University) and defensive back
Alex Shillow (Texas A&M University - Commerce).
Six players earn their second first team Academic All-America® this fall. They include offensive lineman
Madison Wrather (Northeastern State University), defensive lineman
Patrick McMahon (Davenport University), linebacker
Alex Anschutz (Hillsdale College), defensive backs
Brock Floyd (Southern Arkansas Universit
y) and
Eli Weber (Augustana (S.D.) University) and special teams’ long snapper

Toriano Clinton (University of Indianapolis), offensive linemen
Cole Johnson (Hillsdale) and
Kyle Urich (Missouri University of Science & Technology) and linebacker

Austin Wayt and Bentley University running back
Andrew Brazicki made the first team last year. Five others repeat as second team choices this fall. They include offensive linemen
