AUSTIN, Texas – Milligan University goalkeeper and graduate student Jan Kuepper was selected as the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NAIA men’s soccer to lead the 2021 Academic All-America teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
  
Leading Milligan to one of its best seasons in school history, Kuepper finished the campaign with a school record 11 shutouts while helping the Buffs to a 15-3-1 overall record. The season came to a close in the NAIA Opening Round as Kuepper ranks 14th overall with a 0.63 goals-against average.
 
Kuepper posted a 3.98 undergraduate GPA and boasts a 4.0 graduate GPA while he is working through his MBA at Milligan and is joined on the first team by his teammate Elies Sebbouh.
 
Richie Taylor of Missouri Baptist University and Maxwell Amoako of Indiana Institute of Technology were both repeat first team selections.
 
Seven of 11 members of the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® NAIA Men’s Soccer team have at least a 3.80 GPA, with two student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The 11 members on the first team posted an average GPA of 3.82.
