Dylan Kucera of Midland Universit
y headlines the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America® NAIA Men's Track & Field/Cross Country teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 NAIA Academic All-America® teams.
Kucera was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for the NAIA Men’sTrack & Field/Cross Country Teams.
Kucera is a repeat first-team selection and finished off his junior campaign by being named the USTFCCCA NAIA Scholar Athlete of the Year. Kucera earned a 3.92 GPA in secondary education.
A native of Fremont, Nebraska, Kucera completed a year in which he earned five All-American plaques in the Indoor weight throw and shot put as well as the Outdoor discus, hammer throw and shot put. He was named the 2021 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year as well as the Great Plains Athletic Conference Outdoor Athlete of the Year.
Kucera is one of two repeat first-team selections from 2019-20 as he is joined on the top team by
Kyle Manuel (Southeastern ).
Jordan Crawford (Missouri Baptist University),
Luke Skinner (College of Saint St Mary (Kan.)) and
Matthew Van Eps (Dordt University) all moved from second-team to first in 2020-21 and this is the third consecutive year that Skinner has earned either first or second-team honors.
