AUSTIN, Texas – Four standouts on the diamond and in the classroom – Liberty University’s Aaron Anderson, Slippery Rock University’s Connor Hamilton, Oswego State’s Ryan Enos and Oklahoma City University’s Peyton Crispin – highlight the 2022 Academic All-America® baseball teams selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
Anderson (Division I), Hamilton (Division II), Enos (Division III) and Crispin (NAIA) have each been named the Academic All-America® of the Year award winner for their respective divisions.

Aaron Anderson, the Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, helped lead Liberty to the ASUN Tournament Championship game and to an NCAA Regional this year. Anderson, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., was one of three Flames to start all 60 games this season. He led Liberty with a .310 batting average and 75 hits. He was second on the team with 44 RBI and third with 45 runs scored, while ranking among the top 10 in the ASUN with 17 doubles and in the top 15 in the conference with a .423 on base percentage. Anderson, a 2021 Academic All-America® first team honoree, carried a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while pursuing a master’s in business administration. He earned his undergraduate degree from Flagler College in accounting and business administration and was a two-time Academic All-America® team member, earning first team honors in 2020 and third team in 2019.
 
Fourteen of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division I baseball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 13 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.83, with the entire team holding a collective average GPA of 3.81.

NCAA Division II

Connor Hamilton, a Forestport, N.Y. native, was named a third team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association. Hamilton was one of just three Slippery Rock athletes to start all 51 games. The Rock's catcher hit .400 with 56 runs, 17 home runs and 52 RBI while also producing 12 doubles and slugging .782 with a .514 on-base percentage. In addition to ranking 19th in the nation in slugging percentage, Hamilton was also second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in OPS (1.296), third in home runs, third in OBP, fifth in walks (38), sixth in runs, seventh in RBI and eighth in hits (66). He was a first team All-PSAC West honoree. Hamilton carried a 3.91 GPA in petroleum engineering.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division II Academic All-America® program.
 
Nine of the 35 members of the Academic All-America® Division II baseball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.82, with the entire team holding a collective average GPA of 3.81.
 
Four student-athletes are repeat selection on the Academic All-America® Division II baseball team – Austin Denlinger (York College [PA]), Spencer Bramwell (Colorado Mesa University), Anthony Stehlin (Concord University) and Kal Youngquist (University of Illinois Springfield).

Ryan Enos, a native of Oriskany, N.Y., was named a first team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association and earned third team honors from d3Baseball.com. He finished his career at Oswego State as the school’s career leader in hits, at-bats, runs, double and stolen bases. As a senior this year, he set the single-season record for RBI (60), tied the program record for doubles (21), while tying for third all-time in homeruns (10) and second in hits (74) and runs scored (66) and ninth all-time with a .451 batting average. A health and wellness and business administration major who carried a perfect 4.0 GPA, this is the fourth Academic All-America® honor for Enos, who has earned first team honors four times.
 
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division III Academic All-America® program.
 
Seven of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division III baseball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.94, with the entire team holding a collective average GPA of 3.85.

Peyton Crispin, a senior from Lookeba, Okla., earned first team all-conference honors from the Sooner Athletic Conference while helping to lead Oklahoma City to the tournament title and to the NAIA Championship. Crispin, one of only two players to start all 55 game this season, led the team in doubles (30) and was second on the team in batting average (.456), hits (89), home runs (14) and RBI (84). A human performance major with a 3.68 GPA, Crispin earns Academic All-America® for the second time in his career as he earned second team honors in 2020.
 
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
 
Seven of the 24 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA baseball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 13 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.85, with the entire team holding a collective average GPA of 3.82.
