AUSTIN, Texas – Four standouts headline a group of outstanding student-athletes named to the 2023 Academic All-America® women’s volleyball teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
 
Logan Case from Western Michigan University, Maureen Reilly from Rockhurst University, Taylor McInerney from Lebanon Valley College and Ady Dwight of Dakota Wesleyan University lead the Academic All-America® teams by being named as the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as the NAIA, respectively.
 
The four Academic All-America® teams, totaling 83 student-athletes, have a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average with 29 members posting a perfect 4.00 GPA.
 

NCAA Division I

A senior setter from Maineville, Ohio, Logan Case has a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a French major. The AVCA honorable mention All-American is the MAC Player of the Year, MAC Setter of the Year and the MAC Championship Tournament MVP. Case earned a spot on the All-MAC first team for the fourth consecutive season. She was selected to the AVCA Midwest All-Region first team. The senior led the NCAA Division I in total assists this season with 1,421 and ranked second nationally at 11.94 assists per set.
 
Case was one of eight repeat selections to the Academic All-America® Division I team. The others are Caitie Baird (Stanford), Kayley Cassaday (Tulsa), Iman Isanovic (Washington State), Magda Jehlarova (Washington State), Kelley Johnson (North Dakota State), Lexi Rodriguez (Nebraska) and Kendra Wait (Creighton). Isanovic is a three-time Academic All-America® choice.
 
The Division I team boasted a 3.88 cumulative GPA.

NCAA Division II

A senior libero from Overland Park, Kansas, Maureen Reilly has a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a biochemistry major. A D2CCA second team All-American, she led Division II in total digs with 688 (5.78 per set). The AVCA named Reilly to its honorable mention All-American team as well. She is an All-GLVC first team honoree and was named the GLVC Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season.
 
Division II matched Division I with eight repeat selections on the Academic All-America® teams. In addition to Reilly, the others are Taya Beller (Wayne State, Nebraska), Erika Bute (Augustana, South Dakota), Emily Edwards (Lynn), Bella Ray (Lewis), Teagan Starkey (Concordia-Saint Paul), Sabrina VanDeList (Colorado Mesa) and Rachel Walker (Wayne State, Nebraska). VanDeList is a four-time Academic All-America® pick including At-Large (beach volleyball) selection in 2022-23.
 
The Division II team had a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

A senior outside hitter from Annville, Pennsylvania, Taylor McInerney has a 4.00 cumulative GPA with her early childhood education major. An AVCA honorable mention All-American, she was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year following her senior season. McInerney received AVCA All-Region laurels and earned her second career All-Conference first team selection. She led the conference in kills with 591.
 
Two members of the Division III team were repeat Academic All-America® selections: Mackenzie Coley (Juniata) and Haley Holz (NYU).
 
The complete Division III team had a cumulative 3.83 GPA.

A senior middle blocker from Langford, South Dakota, Ady Dwight has a 3.86 cumulative GPA with her nursing major. On the court, she is a three-time NAIA All-American first team selection. Dwight is a four-time AVCA All-Region first team pick. She earned GPAC Attacker of the Year and GPAC first team laurels following her senior season.
 
Dwight is a three-time Academic All-America® choice, claiming first team honors three years in a row. She was one of only two repeat Academic All-America® selections on the NAIA list. Joining Dwight is Kira Rymer-Attaway from Columbia International.
 
The two NAIA teams had a 3.84 cumulative GPA.
