Four talented student-athletes lead 2025 Women's Soccer Academic All-America® teams; Lantz repeats as Team Member of the Year in Division II

GREENWOOD, Indiana – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Wednesday the 2025 Academic All-America® women’s soccer teams for NCAA Division I-II-III and NAIA, headlined by Stanford University’s Jasmine Aikey, Anna Lantz from Rockhurst University, MIT’s Natalie Barnouw, and Katie Koger of Marian University.
 
Aikey (Division I), Lantz (Division II), Barnouw (Division III) and Koger (NAIA) have each been named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award winner for their respective divisions. Lantz is a two-time Division II women’s soccer winner.
 

NCAA Division I

Jasmine Aikey was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division I, after being named to the first team in 2024 and the second team in 2023. A midfielder from Palo Alto, Calif., she recently helped lead Stanford to a national championship berth and made her third consecutive College Cup appearance. The senior carries a 3.97 GPA while pursuing a degree in computer science. She was named a finalist for the 2025 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy, the nation’s highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year. Aikey was named the 2025 TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year and a United Soccer Coaches All-America first team selection. She was also named to the All-ACC First Team and was named the ACC Championship All-Tournament MVP. She led the Cardinal with 53 points, 21 goals, 11 assists, and seven game-winning goals. She also led Division I in points and ranked second nationally in game-winning goals and third in goals. Overall, she tallied at least one goal in 16 of her 25 matches to go along with five multi-goal games.
 
Fourteen of the 34 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women’s soccer teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.90, with the entire Division I team holding a collective average GPA of 3.86.
 
Three other student-athletes join them as a repeat selection on the Academic All-America® Division I team, Macy Blackburn (Texas Tech University), Caroline Castans (University of Kansas), and Faith Webber (Utah Valley University). Annika Jost (U.S. Air Force Academy) becomes the first student-athlete from her women’s soccer program to earn Academic All-America® honors.

NCAA Division II

Anna Lantz was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division II for the second straight season. A senior forward from Parker, Colo., she carries a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology. She was also named to the Academic All-America® third team in 2023. Lantz was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row and to the All-GLVC first team four the fourth time in her career. She finished her career as the all-time leader at Rockhurst with 50 goals and tied the single-season record this season with 17. She finished the season fourth in Division II in goals and fifth with 39 points. She earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team honors. She was also named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Second Team All-America and D2CCA All-Region First Team.
 
Fifteen of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division II women’s soccer teams sustain an unblemished 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.94, with the entire Division II team maintaining a collective average GPA of 3.93.
 
There are six repeat selections joining Lantz on the Academic All-America® Division II team. Ella Fadale (Gannon University), Sophia Haase (Concordia- St. Paul), Dani Hicks (Ashland University), Kylie Morin (Catawba College), Natalie Rouse (Colorado School of Mines), and Keely Wieczorek (Colorado Mesa University). Three student-athletes earned the first Academic All-America® honor for their women’s soccer programs Brookelyn Buttolph (Missouri Western State University), Montserrat Diaz (Fairmont State University), and Elle Smith (Indiana University of Pennsylvania).
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

Natalie Barnouw earns the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division III after also being named to the first team in 2023 and the second team in 2024. The graduate student from Los Angeles holds a 3.80 GPA as the midfielder pursues her master’s degree in computational biology. She was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American First Team after setting single-season program records in goals and points and set a new career points mark. Barnouw was also named the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year. She led Division III with 59 points on the year, was second with 23 goals, and fifth with 13 assists. She also ranked second in the nation with 10 game-winning goals. She netted at least one goal in 17 of her 26 matches and tallied six multi-goal games.
 
Ten of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division III women’s soccer teams claim a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.94, with the entire Division III team retaining a collective average GPA of 3.91.
 
Joining Barnouw as three-time selection on the Academic All-America® Division III team is Hanna Heaton (Christopher Newport University) who earned first team honors in 2024 and third team in 2023. Other repeat selections include Annebel Balogh de Galantha (Emmanuel College), Gabriella Baltes (Illinois Tech), Ella Macko (Johns Hopkins University), and Sarah Zimmerman (Washington and Lee University). Four student-athletes earned the first Academic All-America® honor for their program Lila Brown (Dickinson College), Katie Diem (Cortland), Abby Nunez (Brevard College), and Diana Pon (Penn State Harrisburg).

NAIA

A senior from Zionsville, Indiana, Katie Koger earns the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NAIA. A midfielder, she is majoring in psychology and sociology and holds a 3.97 GPA. Most recently, Koger was named an NAIA All-American by the United Soccer Coaches. She was named the Crossroads League Player of the Year for the second time in her career. She led the Knights to a 20-1-2 record and advanced to the NAIA quarterfinals. For the season, Koger tallied 14 goals and seven assists for 35 points. Among NAIA players nationally, she ranked 37th in goals scored and 42nd in points.
 
Five of the 22 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA women’s soccer teams maintain an impeccable 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.86, with the entire NAIA team carrying a collective average GPA of 3.88.
 
Carola Fontan (University of the Cumberlands) was the lone repeat selection on the Academic All-America® NAIA team, earning second team honors for the second consecutive season. Miller Bertani (Southern Oregon University) and Lohrane Boaventura (Columbia International University) earned the first Academic All-America® honor for their women’s soccer programs.
