AUSTIN, Texas – Four standouts headline a group of accomplished student-athletes named to the 2025 Academic All-America® baseball teams selected by College Sports Communicators. 
 
Noah Sullivan from Mississippi State, Nathan Culley from Minnesota State, Jason Gilman from Kean University, and Tyler Horner from Oregon Tech are the All-America ® of the Year honorees for NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and the NAIA, respectively.
 

NCAA Division I

Noah Sullivan, from Orlando, Florida, served as the designated hitter and pitched for Mississippi State this season.  He earned his selection at designated hitter this year.  The junior is a workforce education leadership major with a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average.
 
Recently named a 2025 Division I First Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association at utility. Sullivan was the lone Bulldog to start all 59 games this past season, where he batted .345 with 70 hits, 16 doubles, 15 homers, and 46 RBI.  On the mound, the right-hander made seven midweek starts and sported a 1.96 earned run average. He struck out 15 and only walked three through 18 1/3 innings, but did not render a decision.
 
Two members of this year’s Academic All-America® Division I baseball team are earning recognition for the second time. Gavin Turley (Oregon State University) is on the first team this year after earning third team honors in 2024.  Nolan Schubart (Oklahoma State University) repeated as a second team selection. 
 
The 33-man team has a 3.78 average cumulative GPA, with the first team checking in at 3.74. Five student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA.

NCAA Division II

Nathan Culley, a business leadership major from Andover, Minnesota, earned Division II Conference Commissioners Association Third Team All-American accolades following a record-breaking season for the Mavericks, where the program won 51 games.  He recently graduated from Minnesota State with a 3.89 cumulative GPA.
 
Culley went 12-1 with a 2.52 earned run average as a starting pitcher. He also recorded four complete games and two shutouts, leading the team with 98 strikeouts and walking 27.  He worked seven innings in the NCAA Central Region Tournament against Arkansas Monticello on May 15 and allowed three earned runs while striking out eight.
 
Three repeat members of this year’s Academic All-America® Division II baseball team are earning recognition. Vance Tobol (University of Central Missouri) is on the first team this year after earning second team honors in 2024.  Aidan Byrne (Minnesota State) is a second team selection, and Payton Conte (Pennsylvania Western University, California) is on the third team; both were third team selections in 2024.
 
The Division II team boasts a 3.68 average GPA, with a 3.79 average for the first team. Three of the 34 Division II selections have a cumulative 4.0 grade point average. 
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

Jason Gilman hails from Old Bridge, New Jersey, and is majoring in athletic training. He recently graduated from Kean University with a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
 
Gilman started 14 games for the Cougars and was recently named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings Sporting Goods Division III National Pitcher of the Year.  Gilman led Division III with 125 strikeouts while going 14-1 on the hill on 112.1 innings pitched.  He helped guide the Cougars to a 41-11 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA College World Series.
 
Kyle McCausland (Middlebury College) and Nick Harris (Case Western Reserve University) are two of six repeat honorees from  and are the only three-time selection on the CSC Academic All-America® baseball teams. McCausland was named to the first team in 2024 and to the third teamin 2023, while Harris was named to the second team a year ago and to the third team in 2023.  Matt Scolan (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater), the CSC Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year in 2024, was a first team selection in 2024 along with JC Ng (Pomona-Pitzer) and Shawn Steuerer (John Hopkins University, while Zack Carinci (Case Western Reserve) was named to the third team in 2023. 
 
The Division III team boasts a 3.80 average GPA, with a 3.81 average for the first team. Two of the 34 Division III selections have a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

NAIA

Tyler Horner, from Twin Falls, Idaho, is a senior mechanical engineering major with a 4.00 cumulative GPA, and he has earned his second consecutive Academic All-America® accolade. 
 
Horner was recently named an ABCA NAIA All-American and made history as being the second-ever Oregon Tech player to earn the distinction twice.  The four-year starter ended his OIT career as the all-time leader in hits (303), doubles (69), home runs (40), RBI (208), and walks (122), establishing new Cascade Conference records for hits, doubles, and RBI in a career.  This season, Horner hit .399 with 13 home runs, 21 doubles, and 66 RBI.
 
Horner is one of four repeat selections from the 2024 Academic All-America® NAIA baseball team.  These returning selections join him: Mason David (Taylor University), Caden Petry (University of the Cumberlands), and Jaidan Quinn (Concordia University, Nebraska).
 
The 22-man NAIA team has a 3.84 average GPA, with the first team checking in at 3.82. Six student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA.
 
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
