Lemngole (Division I), King (Division II), Boon (Division III) and Boshchuk (NAIA) have each been named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award winner for their respective divisions. The superstar quartet receives this honor for the first time in their respective careers.

NCAA Division I

9952

A sophomore from West Pokot County, Kenya, Doris Lemngole is one of three finalists for The Bowerman, given annually to the top collegiate women’s track and field athlete of the year. This spring, Lemngole defended her NCAA steeplechase title by running the first collegiate sub-nine minute race with a time of 8:58.15. At the time of the race, this mark was also the fastest time in the world this calendar year.

Lemngole won three national championships during the 2024-25 academic year: cross country in the fall, the indoor 5000 meters in the winter and the outdoor steeplechase in the spring. She was undefeated in her events during the 2025 outdoor season. In the classroom, Lemngole holds a 4.00 GPA with her sport management major.

Fourteen of the 45 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women’s track and field/cross country teams boast a perfect 4.00 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 15 first team members have an average undergraduate GPA of 3.89.

Twelve student-athletes are repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division I women’s track and field/cross country team with seven veterans finding a spot on the first team. Leading the way is Nebraska senior Axelina Johansson, who earns AAA laurels for the third time in her career. A two-time first team member, Johansson earned second team honors as a sophomore.

The other six first team repeat selections include Alexis Brown (Baylor), Florence Caron (Penn State), Smilla Kolbe (North Florida), Jaida Ross (Oregon), Isabella Whitaker (Arkansas) and Roisin Willis (Stanford). Four of the seven first team veterans have a 4.00 GPA, either as an undergrad or in graduate school.

Two second team Academic All-America® picks join Johansson as three-time AAA members: Oklahoma State senior Sivan Auerbach and Stanford graduate student Zofia Dudek. Both Auerbach and Dudek were first team honorees in 2022-23 and 2023-24. Iowa State junior Rachel Joseph joins Auerbach and Dudek on the second team. Joseph was a third team choice last year.

San Diego State junior Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Oregon senior Klaudia Kazimierska are the only repeat selections on the third team. Feyerabend is one of five third team members with a 4.00 GPA, either as an undergraduate or in grad school. Both student-athletes made the second team in 2023-24.
