AUSTIN, Texas – Five standouts headline a group of outstanding student-athletes named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Women’s At-Large teams as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
Grace McCallum from the University of Utah, Madison Murr from Cal State University San Marcos, Hope Shue from Middlebury College, Cristelle Rodriguez from Doane University and Emily Crosby from Johnson County Community College are the Academic All-America® Women’s At-Large Team Member of the Year honorees for NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and the College Division, respectively.
 

NCAA Division I

A senior from Isanti, Minnesota, Grace McCallum graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a perfect 4.00 GPA this spring. In her final appearance at the NCAA gymnastics national championships, McCallum helped the Utes make their fifth straight appearance in the final four.
 
A 15-time All-American, McCallum was a runner-up on vault, bars, floor and all-around during the 2025 NCAA gymnastics national championships. She finished her career with 78 total victories. The 2020 Olympic silver medalist was the Big 12 Gymnast of the Year while earning the Big 12 all-around title during her final season.
 
Nine student-athletes are repeat selections on this year’s team, led by University of Colorado senior skier Hanna Abrahamsson. A three-time AAA choice, Abrahamsson made the second team as a senior and a sophomore, and the first team as a junior.
 
In addition to Abrahamsson, other repeat selections include Clara Van Wieren (Minnesota-Duluth), Leanne Wong (Florida), Katie Zaun (TCU), Louise Rydqvist (South Carolina), Isabella McCauley (Minnesota), Rylie Mundell (Denver), Kaja Norbye (Utah) and Aimee Plumb (Louisville).
 
A total of 46 student-athletes were recognized. The 16 first team members hold a cumulative 3.89 GPA. A total of 19 honorees have a perfect 4.00 GPA, including seven on the first team.

NCAA Division II

A senior from Los Alamitos, California, Madison Murr graduated with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and a 3.96 GPA this spring. She is the 2025 recipient of the Inkster Award presented by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. This award recognizes the highest-ranked women’s collegiate golfer in her final year of NCAA eligibility.
 
Murr won the individual titles at the 2025 NCAA Division II and CCAA championships. She had five victories on the season. The CCAA Golfer of the Year for the second straight year, Murr concluded her Cal State San Marcos career with 10 tournament wins and 21 top-three finishes. She is a three-time WGCA All-American with two appearances on the first team.
 
A two-time first team Academic All-America®, Murr is one of 10 repeat selections on this year’s squad and one of seven two-time AAA picks. The veteran of this year’s team is Cal State LA graduate student golfer Morgan Sjoerdsma, who earns her fourth AAA award. A third team member this year, she made the third team as a sophomore, the second team as a junior and the first team as a senior.
 
Senior lacrosse standouts Lindsey Shimborske (Mercy) and Kaleigh Wilgeroth (Wingate) make the Academic All-America® team for the third year in a row. Shimborske was a third team choice as a sophomore and a first team pick as a junior. Wilgeroth moved up the ladder one notch each year, earning third team laurels as a sophomore and second team honors as a junior.
 
In addition to Murr, six student-athletes earn Academic All-America® honors for the second time. They include Justine Anderson (Colorado Mesa), Libby Kilbride (St. Mary’s, Texas), Lauren Marks (Caldwell), Carmen Nielssen (Alaska-Anchorage), Shelby Ernst (Embry-Riddle, Florida) and Mia Knipe (Western Washington).
 
The Division II at-large teams honored 45 student-athletes with eight members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs. A total of 16 of the 45 members have 4.00 GPAs either as an undergraduate or a graduate student. The 15-member first team has a 3.93 cumulative GPA.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

A senior from Dover, Massachusetts, Hope Shue graduated with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a perfect 4.00 GPA this spring. She helped Middlebury win the 2025 NCAA Division III national championship in lacrosse, the Panthers’ fourth consecutive NCAA crown. In 2025, Shue won her second IWLCA National Player and Attacker of the Year, and NESCAC Offensive Player of the Year awards. She was named the NCAA tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and was a member of the all-tournament squad for the third time.
 
Shue is the second women’s lacrosse player across all NCAA divisions to earn the Elite 90 Award three times. She joined former North Dakota State and NFL quarterback Carson Wentz as the only athletes to win that honor three times and help their teams claim four consecutive NCAA Championships. Shue also helped Middlebury win a pair of NESCAC titles and post an 89-2 record. Shue ended her career as the program’s all-time leader in goals (306) and points (391). She is the Division III all-time leader with 80 goals during NCAA postseason play.
 
Shue and William Smith College lacrosse senior Maura Smeader are both three-time Academic All-America® choices. A back-to-back first team pick, Shue was named to the second team as a sophomore. Smeader joined Shue on this year’s first team. She was a third team pick as a sophomore and a second team selection as a junior.
 
Nine student-athletes make the Division III Academic All-America® at-large teams for the second time. They include Madeline Delaney (Tufts), Bella Garabo (York, Pennsylvania), Amy Griffin (Middlebury), Kat Munter (Colby), Charlotte Newport (Augustana, Illinois), Ocean Akau (Augustana, Illinois), Gillian Cummins (Wisconsin-Stout), Julia Jardina (Colby) and Sydney Kuo (Washington, St. Louis).

NAIA

A junior from Clovis, California, Cristelle Rodriguez is an exercise science major with a 3.53 GPA. She is a 2025 national wrestling champion at 124 pounds for the Doane Tigers. Rodriguez received NAIA All-American honors for her efforts this season.
 
Rodriguez was named the NAIA Women’s Wrestler of the Year for the second straight season and the inaugural GPAC Women’s Wrestler of the Year. In June, she earned a spot on Team USA for women’s freestyle wrestling. In April, Rodriguez qualified for the USA U23 team by winning the U.S. Championships in her weight class.
 
Seven student-athletes are repeat selections on the NAIA Academic All-America® at-large teams. Leading the way is Keiser senior golfer Carolin Alblas, who earns AAA first team honors for the third year in a row. Alblas has a 3.97 GPA with her business administration major.
 
The remaining six repeat selections receive Academic All-America® honors for the second time. They include Lydia Cornett (Missouri Baptist), Megan Dennis (Corban), Koral Hadac (Cumberlands), Lara Kurt (SCAD Savannah), Rachel Ruplinger (St. Ambrose) and Emma Rittman (Cumberlands). Kurt was the 2023-24 NAIA Academic All-America® Women’s At-Large Team Member of the Year.
 
The NAIA at-large teams honored 20 student-athletes with two members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs. A total of four of the 20 members have 4.00 GPAs either as an undergraduate or a graduate student. The 10-member first team has a 3.89 cumulative GPA.

A sophomore from Olathe, Kansas, Emily Crosby has a 4.00 GPA with her psychology major. The soccer defender was a consensus All-American as the Cavaliers compiled a 19-1-4 overall record on the way to an appearance in the NJCAA Division II national championship match.
 
Crosby and the JCCC defense led all NJCAA Division II programs with 18 shutouts, including 15 consecutively. The Cavaliers posted a goals against average of 0.41. JCCC’s defense allowed only 10 goals over 24 matches, the second-fewest in NJCAA Division II.
 
The College Division at-large teams honored 20 student-athletes with three members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs. All total, seven of the 20 members have 4.00 GPAs. The 13-member first team has a 3.82 cumulative GPA.
 
The College Division Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) governance structure.
