College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans to represent their countries at the Milano Cortina Olympics

The 2026 Olympic Games will feature past CSC Academic All-Americans who have qualified to compete for their national teams in Milano Cortina. The international competition takes place February 4-22. The current count of Academic All-Americans competing is 13, and CSC will adjust that number as it becomes aware of more athletes competing for their home countries.

The list of Academic All-Americans is highlighted by nine athletes competing for the United States including Anna Gibson, Tessa Janecke, Kendall Kramer, Novie McCabe, Elana Meyers Taylor, JC Schoonmaker, Lee Stecklein, John Steel Hagenbuch and Grace Zumwinkle.

Kramer (Division II), Meyers Taylor (Division I) and Drolet (Division I) have each been honored with First Team Academic All-America honors twice.

Kramer received both of her honors in 2024-25 competing in multiple sports for Alaska Fairbanks, earning first team on both the Women's At-Large and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams. She was also named a 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year award finalist. Meyers Taylor, a world champion bobsledder qualifiying for her fifth Olympics, earned her Academic All-America honors as a softball player at George Washington. Meyers Taylor was chosen to serve as the Team USA flag bearer at the 2022 Games, but was unable to attend or compete. Drolet, who will compete for Team Canada, earned his two Academic All-America honors as a skier at Harvard.

Canada has the second most AAAs on its national teams in Milano Cortina with two. Australia and Great Britain each have one past Academic All-American on their teams.

Five sports at the Games have at least one Academic All-American, with cross country skiing leading the way with six athletes. The U.S. will be represented in four sports by Academic All-Americans.

The Academic All-Americans competing in Milano Cortina represent 10 different CSC member colleges and universities led by Utah with three AAAs and Minnesota with two. The most popular academic majors studied are related to health and exercise sciences, civil engineering, and finance.
