Four talented student-athletes lead 2025-26 Men's Basketball Academic All-America® teams; Browder repeats as Team Member of the Year in Division II

GREENWOOD, Indiana – Four standouts headline a group of outstanding student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America® men’s basketball teams as selected by College Sports Communicators.
 
Tamin Lipsey from Iowa State University, Jack Browder from Carson-Newman University, Mason Dopirak from Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Camerin James of Keiser University lead the Academic All-America® teams by being named as the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as the NAIA, respectively.
 

NCAA Division I

Tamin Lipsey, who is a senior communications studies major with a 3.73 grade-point average, recently finished off his four-year career with the Cyclones averaging 11.0 points per game, 4.4 assists per contest, 3.8 rebounds per game and 2.3 steals during his 137 career games played at Iowa State. He was named the Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year after averaging 13.5 points per game and 5.1 assists per contest during his senior season.
 
The hometown hero from Ames, Iowa, is making his third career appearance on the CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball teams, after earning second-team honors in 2023-24 and a first-team selection in 2024-25. Lipsey has been well recognized for his efforts on the court as well during his career, as he was a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year semifinalist and Nolan Richard Award finalist in 2025 and a Lefty Driesell Defensive Player of the Year finalist and Lute Olson National Player of the Year finalist in 2024.
 
During his stellar four-year career, Lipsey helped Iowa State make four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including Sweet Sixteen runs in 2024 and 2026.
 
Lipsey is one of three repeat selections on the CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball teams. He is joined in a return selection by St. John University’s Zuby Ejiofor and Northwestern University’s Nick Martinelli.
 
The five members of the Division I first team had a 3.79 average GPA. Additionally, two members of the Academic All-America® team hold a perfect 4.0 GPA.

NCAA Division II

Jack Browder is now a three-time CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball first-team honoree after finishing his undergraduate degree in business administration with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Browder was one of four finalists for the Small College Basketball's Trevor Hudgins Award after finishing his senior year averaging 25.0 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per contest. During the 2025-26 season, he shot 43.8 percent from the field (211-of-482), 36.0 percent from three-point range (62-of-172) and 88.9 percent from the free throw line (241-of-271).
 
The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in 2025-26 finished his time at Carson-Newman with 2,098 career points scored, becoming the fourth player in program and SAC history to eclipse the 2,000-career mark. Browder is fifth among active NCAA Division II players in career scoring and 15th among all players in all divisions. The native of Kingsport, Tennessee, was named a 2025-26 D2CCA All-America first team selection, becoming the fifth player in program history to earn All-America honors and the first since the 2017-18 season.  
 
Browder is one of three repeat selections on the CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball teams. He is joined in a return selection by Michigan Technological University’s Marcus Tomashek and Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Andrew Young.
 
The five members of Division II first team had a 3.84 average GPA. Additionally, four members of the Academic All-America® team hold a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

Mason Dopirak, who holds a perfect 4.00 GPA as a biomedical engineering major, was the lone 4.00 GPA representative on the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® men’s basketball team.
 
Dopirak capped off his stellar career for the Raiders by earning D3hoops.com All-America third-team honors and NABC All-America second-team accolades during the 2025-26 season. He led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in scoring and ranked fourth in the country, averaging 26.1 points per game, while shooting 51.6 percent from the field (221-of-428), 43.1 percent from three-point range (56-of-130) and 90.0 percent from the free throw line (180-of-200).
 
The native of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, guided the Raiders to the team’s best finish in eight seasons as they finished the season 19-7 overall and grabbed a share of the regular season title with a 16-2 mark in conference play.
 
There were two repeat selections on the CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball teams – Tufts University’s Scott Gyimesi and Endicott College’s Marcus Montagnino. The five members of Division III first team had a 3.88 average GPA.
 
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® program.

NAIA

Camerin James, who holds a perfect 4.00 GPA as a business administration major, was named a NAIA All-America second team selection after averaging 17.8 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per contest. He also shot 54.3 percent from the field (202-of-372), 33.3 percent from three-point range (16-of-48) and 71.0 percent from the free throw line (132-of-186).
 
The native of Apopka, Florida, was named the Sun Conference Player of the Year and to the NABC All-East Region team. James garnered national recognition during his junior campaign as he was named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 50 watch list after surpassing the 1,000 career points scored mark during the 2025-26 season. He ranked second in the conference in scoring and ranked among the top 50 players in the country in scoring at the NAIA level.
 
James helped Keiser finish the 2025-26 season with a 25-6 record and advance to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
 
The five members of NAIA first team had a 3.84 average GPA, while two of the five held a perfect 4.00 GPA. The only repeat selection on the CSC Academic All-America® men’s basketball team was Grace College’s Ian Raasch.
