GREENWOOD, Indiana – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday the 2026 Academic All-America® baseball teams for NCAA Division I-II-III and NAIA, headlined by, Mississippi State's Noah Sullivan, Dagen Brewer from Pittsburg State University, The University of Olivet's Bryan Carney, and Alex Johnson of Concordia University, Nebraska.

Sullivan (Division I), Brewer (Division II), Carney (Division III) and Johnson (NAIA) have each been named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year award winner for their respective divisions.
 

NCAA Division I

Noah Sullivan has a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average as graduate student majoring in organizational leadership. Sullivan is a repeat Academic All-America® first-team selection and was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year in 2025.

Sullivan started 54 games as a designated hitter and three more at first base during 2026. The graduate from Orlando, Florida, finished second on the team with a .342 batting average to go along with 75 hits, 14 doubles, 13 homers, 46 RBI and a team-best .451 on-base percentage. He also was second on the team with 10 steals in 12 attempts. His .463 on-base percentage during his two seasons in Starkville ranks third-best in school history among players with 300-plus at bats.

Sullivan is a two-time National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-American. He was named to the first team in 2025 and to the third team in 2026. Sullivan is also a two-time All-South Region first-team selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association and was named to the All-Southeastern Conference first team selection this spring.

The 14 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.84.

In addition to Sullivan, Purdue University’s Aaron Manias and West Virginia University’s Ian Korn were repeat selections. Manias was named to the second team in 2026 after being selected to third team a year ago, while Korn was named to the second team after being selection to the NCAA Division II Academic All-America® first team in 2025.

NCAA Division II

Dagen Brewer, a senior outfielder from Topeka, Kansas, has a 3.57 GPA as a construction management major.

This season Brewer has been named the National Player of the Year by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association and the NCBWA, while being a consensus first-team All-American (ABCA, D2CCA & NCBWA) in the outfield after his historic season. Brewer set a new Division II record for runs batted in a season with 107, while claiming the triple crown in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association with a .442 batting average, 26 home runs and the aforementioned RBI tally. Brewer this season ranks in the top 10 in Division II for RBI (1st), RBI per game (1st, 1.91), slugging percentage (1st, .970), home runs (2nd), home runs per game (2nd, 0.46), total bases (2nd, 191), doubles (3rd, 24), walks (3rd, 58), on-base percentage (3rd, .573), runs scored (T-4th, 87), runs scored per game (T-4th, 1.55), batting average (7th) and walks per game (8th, 1.04).

The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.88.

In addition to Brewer, there were four other repeat honorees. Sean Welsh of Molloy University was named to the first team for the second consecutive year, while Austin Bode of the University of Indianapolis was selected to the first team after being a third-team honoree in 2025. Evan Morrison of Grand Valley State University was named to the second team after being named to the third team a year ago, while Caleb Burr from Belmont Abbey College was selected to the third team after being named to the second team in 2025.

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.

NCAA Division III

Bryan Carney, an insurance and risk management major with a 3.87 GPA, was the ace of the Comets' pitching staff. The senior from Gross Pointe Woods, Michigan, posted a 1.35 earned-run average and struck out a single-season school record 122 across 11 starts and 73.1 innings. Carney, who went 7-3 on the hill in 2026, earned many accolades for his performance, including D3basball.com and ABCA All-America first team, D3baseball.com and ABCA All-Region, All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association first team and MIAA Pitcher of the Year.

The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.77.

There were three repeat selections on this year’s teams. Kyle Douin of the University of Southern Maine was named to the Academic All-America® first team after being a third-team honoree in 2025. Tyler Stillson of Case Western Reserve University and Erik Sundgren of Denison University were selected to the second team for the second consecutive year.

Alex Johnson, a pitcher from Olathe, Kansas, was named to the Academic All-America® first team in 2026 after being a second-team honoree a year ago.

Johnson was named to the All-Great Plains Athletic Conference first team for the third time in 2026 and was also named the league’s Pitcher of the Year in both 2025 and 2026. Johnson, who has a 3.93 GPA as an MBA graduate student, is the school record holder for strikeouts in a single season (109) and career (320); all-time program rankings of first in career starts (51), first in strikeouts (320), tied for third in wins (26), fourth in innings pitched (237) and seventh in ERA (3.49). Johnson, who went 8-2 on the mound in 2026, was also named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete five times in his career.

The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.80.

In addition to Johnson, there were three other repeat selections on the Academic All-America® team.
