A junior from West Pokot County, Kenya, Doris Lemngole was named the Southeastern Conference’s outdoor track and field runner of the year this spring. She won the SEC Commissioner’s Trophy after accumulating the most individual points (20) at the league’s outdoor championships. In the classroom, Lemngole holds a 4.00 GPA with her sport management major.

Lemngole won three national championships during the 2024-25 academic year: cross country in the fall, the indoor 5000 meters in the winter and the outdoor steeplechase in the spring. She was undefeated in her events during the 2025 outdoor season.

The 15 Academic All-America® Division I women’s track and field/cross country first team members have an undergraduate GPA of 3.85. The entire 45-member team has an undergraduate GPA of 3.84. Eight team members sport a perfect 4.00 GPA, either as an undergrad or a graduate student.
