AUSTIN, Texas – Senior forward Jessica Kelliher of Lewis University headlines the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women's basketball teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
 
Kelliher has been selected as the recipient of the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division II women's basketball.
 
An organizational communications major with a 3.84 GPA, Kelliher was named the 2018-19 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, taking home the conference’s top honor for the third year in a row. A four-time GLVC all-conference honoree, Kelliher leads the conference and ranks seventh in the country in scoring (24.3 points per game) and ranks second nationally in field goal shooting percentage (65.6 percent/288-of-439). She has led Lewis to an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division II Tournament, the Flyers’ 14th NCAA postseason appearance and their seventh in a row.
 
The native of Waukesha, Wisconsin, is GLVC's all-time leading scorer with 2,715 career points and has a career scoring average of 21.7 points per game, which is second highest in NCAA Division II among active players. She has made 64.7 percent of her career field goal attempts, ranking second best among active Division II players. Kelliher is a three-time recipient of the Delahanty Award, given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence, twice selected a D2CCA and WBCA All-American and is making a repeat selection to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women’s Basketball team after earning first-team honors in 2017-18.
 
Fourteen of the 15 members of the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women’s Basketball teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with five student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The five members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.93.
 
The 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women’s Basketball teams have five repeat performers – Emily Ferreri (Saint Michael’s College), Anja Fuchs-Robetin (Florida Southern College), Kelliher, Emily Miller (Roberts Wesleyan College) and Hailey Tucker (Southwestern Oklahoma State University) from last year’s CoSIDA Academic All-America® teams.
